cinta camera.

it's funny to see people snap and upload endless photos of themselves. i know it's your camera and your right to snap and upload whichever photos you want, but really, you can't shut people's mouth, not mine, not even all of the people around you.

do you really have to upload endless photos of you erm, pose during the car washing just to let the whole world know you're so rajin, or that oh-so-comel pose of you sedang menyiang ikan just to let us know that you can really do the cooking and all, or picture of your toilet yang bersinar2 just to show the world that you just did the sental-menyental process in your toilet. do you really have to?

a little bit is fine, i mean, everybody does it, especially now that we all have a facebook account where you can upload all the photos in the world. but when it is too much, when you want ur personal photographer to snap pictures of you every single second, to capture every single action that you do, then i think you are just obsessed with yourself. maybe you should sing 'why i'm so obsessed with me'. haha.

a lot of people own an SLR camera today only to upload the photos in facebook. i think it's a waste. you spend so much to buy the SLR, and you end up posting the pictures only on the internet. you don't even bother to get them printed. i cherish all the memories. and i am that person who will get the photos printed and put them nicely in the album (not facebook or flickr album pls)

if i could turn back time, i wish to capture all the memorable moment of me and my loved ones. especially those times when i was on the stage. memorable weh! at least, i had some fun!

i did quite a lot of performances since sekolah rendah. i just love it. i used to sing during the talent time, hahaha, and i stopped singing in form 4 when i realized my voice has become a bit nasal (okay maybe a lot) after a dikir barat performance. hahaha. i did quite a number of traditional malay dance and sketch. but sadly, i don't have much pictures of me performing all those things. seriously, i wish i have all the pictures so i can show the pics to my cucu2 nanti. inspiration sket. hahaha. ok poyo.

see, dulu sangat tak reti nak bertangkap2 gambar. now, gambar mengarut2. gambar tengah cabut bulu ketiak la, gambar vain toksah cakap la, gambar konon comel tengah buat yoga la, gambar konon cantik tengah siram pokok bunga la, kalau boleh gambar tengah kat jamban pun kau nak snap kan. so the funny la these people. (contoh2 tu adalah rekaan semata, but well, u get what i mean kan)

but anyway, the camera really serve the the purpose la. tak sia2 kau beli camera if kau tangkap gmbar of you every second of your life. hahaha. just, i think it's funny, bukan funny yg menghiburkan macam tengok mr. bean, but funny that aku rasa nak muntah hijau berak cacing sebab macam, eeeee kau ni takde kerja lain ke. ha mcm tu.

just a simple tips, if u think you're pretty and comel sgt, don't la lebih2 upload gambar konon cantik and comel yang sah2 kau suruh orang ambik sebab nak upload kat fb and all, sebab daripada kau betul2 comel and cantik, terus aku rasa kau tak cantik mana rupanya. and it's worse if kau dah mmg tak cantik. lol.

unless la kau mmg do it for the sake of photography and modelling. haha.

ok, sekali sekala takpe kot. kalau selalu, haha, suke hati kau la. teruskan usaha menghiasi page fb anda dengan senyuman dan pose menawan anda. semoga stalkers anda terhibur la. hehe. ok bye.

branded little ira

once upon a time when i was about 3-4 years old, i remember i kept insisting my dad to buy me a pair of reebok sneakers. i wanted the shoes so badly that i cried and threw tantrums to him so that he would give up and let me have that pair of shoes. sadly he ignored this little kid's wish because buying a pair of reebok sneakers for a fast-growing kid is not worth the money.

i was sad. but i kept bringing back the topic to him so that my father know how much he break my heart for not buying me what i wanted.

after a week or so, my dad returned home with a pair of sneakers. yes, reebok sneakers. i was beyond happy and that was my favourite sneakers eversince. (hello, other kids my age didn't wear reebok sneakers, no, they don't even know what reebok is)

after years, i came to know that my sneakers was not reebok, it was rikbok. yeah, same pronounciation. that was when i know the right spelling of reebok. oh yes, the trick worked and it became a legendary joke in the family, until now.

the legendary story of branded little ira.

not with my rikbok shoes
now, whenever i go shopping, my dad would say this ;

"pegi la beli baju kat giant jer, standard awak giant jer, dulu pun pakai RIKBOK jee, stylo jugak"

sampai hatimu abah!

childhood belief

masa kecik2 aku selalu tertipu. aku selalu percaya benda pelik2. bila dah besar rasa malu bile ingat balik. camanelah aku boleh tertipu and percaye bulat2 dengan ape yg orang ckp. pergh, camtu skali aku diperkotak-katikkan.

dulu2 aku selalu dengar orang2 tua ckp, tak boleh minum arak sebab arak tu air kencing syaitan. first time dengar macam, oh syaitan pun kencing ekkk? menarik nih. aku siap terbayang2 syaitan pegi toilet sebab nk kencing. lepas tu tengok kat tv pulak, arak selalunye kaler kuning2 gold2 camtu kan. tak jauh beza ngan air kencing manusia. lagi la aku percaya arak tu air kencing syaitan.

dekat shah alam ade satu kilang arak. besar. aku duduk shah alam dari aku kecik. so selalu la lalu seblah kilang arak tu. ala, yg tepi federal highway tu. time tu, aku bayangkan dalam kilang tu mesti ada banyak2 penjara. penjara tu tempat syaitan2 ni tinggal. syaitan2 ni akan take turn untuk kencing supaya bekalan arak dpt dimaintain. so, aku bayangkan pekerja2 kilang ni nanti yang kene pakse syaitan2 ni kencing, pastu angkut air kencing diorang untuk dimasukkan dlm botol2 arak.

itu theory and imaginasi aku pasal pengeluaran arak. semuanya bermule dari ayat 'arak itu air kencing syaitan'. lama jugak aku percaya benda karut ni. yang peliknya, aku tak pernah tanye orang untuk confirmkan kesahihan theory aku ni.

sampailah aku mencapai tahap kematangan otak, baru aku tau yang sebenarnya aku tertipu dengan ayat tu.

sampai hati diorang tipu aku. nasib baik aku tak percaya sampai mati.

so, what's your childhood belief?

incredible india II

i was certainly mad at the pakcik auto for taking us to the flyover instead of airport! and for a minute or 2, i was cursing him in english, and he replied in his own mother tongue! obviously it was a waste of energy because neither me nor him understand whatever we were saying. after long cursing and arguing, we then decided to hop into another auto and went straight to the airport. yeah, finally. it was indeed a long long night!

the view of the city isn't that bad either. other than mass of rubbish and trash by the street, u can always get a clear view of some guys peeing by the street, most of the time, facing the wall. they won't be hiding behind the bushes, or rarely in a secluded place. instead, they do their business openly that u can obviously see the wall becoming wet and the velocity of the u-know-what and the smell that causes nausea and, and, and (okay too much of details, i better stop describing!) i see that everyday! im sure most of the girls in malaysia haven't seen any of that before hahahaa. consider me lucky! *yucks muntah*

and tell me how can i not be rude living in a place where people never keep their promises. u see, when an indian says 2 minutes, that means 2 hours. and when they say tomorrow, that means next week. and tell u what, i have no doubt in cursing and arguing with these people in public because they truly deserve one. last year, during the hassle of buying flight tickets to malaysia, i called MAS office in bangalore, asking the flight fees etc etc. that lady at the other end of the line said that if we come to MAS office that very day, we'll be able to get this much of flight fees and so, me baz and izwan rushed to the MAS office by auto. and when we reached there, the lady at the counter said they don't issue flight tickets in the office. WTF? we explained to her that we've already made a call beforehand and that the previous lady said this and that but she didn't believe us. she said we probably had call the wrong number. to prove otherwise, baz called the number immediately and we all heard the ringing sound. we all rushed to the back of the MAS office to see who was answering the phone call. and yes, we saw a lady answering the call.

"did u say that they can buy the flight tickets here and that the flight fees is this much?" the lady from the counter asked the lady who answered the call.

"no i did not", the operator lady replied.

"are u on the phone? some malaysian students called u?" the counter lady asked her

"no i'm not on the phone", that bloody lady said

"u say hello now! say now!" baz was about to lose her temper.

and finally she said hello reluctantly and her voice was overheard through baz's handphone. how can she said that she wasn't on the phone? and that she had not receive any call from us? and she denied saying those bloody things to us? what a total scum!

baz and me couldn't control our anger anymore. i was so totally angry that i blurted out every single dirty words that i have in my vocabulary. it was a total waste of time, money and energy. and that bloody operator was responsible for that. i regret for not letting her taste my powerful kick in the ass *at least powerful enough to kick another person of the same gender*

and that was not the only incident where u can find me turning into a rude person. many times indeed. with the bank manager in vijaya bank, with pakcik samsung, with pakcik auto *many many times indeed* , with the waiters in quite a number of restaurants and the list goes on and on. in fact, i was about to lose my temper to a waiter in a restaurant when my family came over. my parents advised me to be careful with my words and the way i deal with the local indian people because they are worried if i get caught in any serious trouble afterwards. but after 1 week of staying in india, my dad finally said this ;

"tak larat la abah nak deal ngan orang india ni. cakap banyak kali pun tak buat2. intan** je la pegi ckp ngan diorang. abah malas dah, patutla intan garang gile ngan diorang", seeeeee! even my dad can't take it anymore. i'm not rude for nothing. haih.

life is tough when u're staying away from the family, especially when u're in another country. honestly, this is my real first time of staying so faraway from family but thank god, i managed to go through this, though i constantly get annoyed and angry with the local people.

but experience makes a person :) He has his reasons for sending me here, i believe in that. actually there's a lot more to share, but maybe i stop here. who wants to know that much about india anyway? hahahaha. see ya!

**intan is my nickname at home.

incredible india

india. it had never crossed my mind that i would end up studying medicine in india though it has been accepted globally that india is a good place to study medicine. but life never fail to come out with lots of surprises right? and here's the surprise i got 4 years back - when i was offered to further my study in my field of choice, surprisingly, in india.

before i can proceed any further, i had to practically undergo 2 years of endless pressure by doing international baccalaureate in kolej mara seremban. and yeay, did that done that. and my journey in medical field started in september 2007, and the journey is even tougher, not because it's medicine, but because it's in india.

india has a lot of surprises. that's why they call it incredible india. i reached bangalore on one fine night and mind you, the airport was nothing like klia *thank god bangalore has a new airport now* and that night when we were brought to our apartment, i remember i was terrified with the traffic. indian drivers are mad. they love speeding and honking. even when they know that they have to stop for a traffic light or whatsoever *obviously they have to stop and just wait la kan* still, they just love the art of honking. it was rather annoying and irritating at first because whenever i was crossing the road, the car from 1 kilometre away will start honking like shit. and for that, i will start screaming and running, for my life. u see, i have this phobia in road-crossing because i was nearly crashed by a car when i was 7 and a bus when i was 10, and a motorcycle last year, in india itself! *okay that will be another chapter!* damn u driver! but i am now very much immuned to this sound pollution. u can honk me as much as u want, i couldn't be bothered anymore. *kdg2 still heart attack la tapi*

done with the traffic. moving on with the language. as we know, india is an over-populated country. and most people from the low-class and some from the mid-class social status are not well versed in english. and the options were to use sign language or to learn their language. to learn their language is obviously not an easy task. u'll definitely hurt the muscles of your tongue. and so, sign language was the only one left. even sign language can cause lots of contradictions that leads to frustration. really. there was this one night when me and izz had to go to the airport, we decided to take an auto *auto is autorickshaw, a.k.a tut-tut* the auto driver didn't even know what is airport. and so we struggled to explain what is airport by using hand gesture.

"flight! aeroplane!", with hand gesture showing as though the plane is landing (ceh dan dan pdhal sendiri buat sendiri je yg paham) i was hoping that those 2 words accompanied with very vague sign language of ours give him a clue of where we wanted to go.

and after some time he was like,

"ohhhh! fly? flight? yes yes come"

totally relieved that he finally get the point. and so we made ourselves comfortable *la sangat* in that auto and headed to the airport. about 20 minutes later, he stopped.

"100 rupees!", he said *i cant remember the exact amount actly*

"where's the airport? where? "

he managed to pull muka pelik.

"airport where? airplane? flight? where? " i continued asking.

"oh fly? flyyy!" and he pointed out to the fly-over.

WTF.

>> to be continued.

supermodel

how i wish i'm a super model. because i love dressing up. i love painting my face. i love to get my nails polished. i love to get myself accessorized with girlie stuff, of course, not overly accessorized. and i love tiptoeing in super sexy high heels!

ahhh, but that is just not possible. never will. i'm just an ordinary student. going for lectures and practicals doesn't require me to dress up like a bimbo. going out to bangalore city on weekends, of course, i wanna dress up a little bit more than usual. BUT, imagine this. i am all dressed up, and UNFORTUNATELY, i just have to walk next to lembu2 to find an auto that can take me to the city. even worse, if ever i am unlucky, the lembu2 might be micturating *kencing mcm hujan!* as i walk by. and the cows stink big time! my Hugo Boss perfume turns out into noisome smell that can cause nausea! *okay, that's a little bit of exaggeration but anyhow, u get what i mean right?* so, what a big turn off, is it not?!

next, as mentioned, i really really really love high heels. i really really really do. but what's the point of wearing high heels, if the heels got ducked into the muddy road?!ergh! and living in the ever so berdebu place like india, my precious heels will finally change its colour. yes, no kidding.

and yes, if u wear something that's extraordinary *to them*, all eyes will be on you like u're some kind of alien. that's because the local/poor people living in the slum area, they don't even wear slippers and sarees are their everyday uniform. seeing us in nice outfit is like seeing Kareena Kapoor on television. hahahha. that's why india is called as the world of extremities. the poor are VERY poor, and the rich are VERY rich. and sad to be true, MANY of their people are still living in poverty.

now u know why i suddenly want to be a supermodel. wahahahahahhahahaha. yes, please!

hari ini saye rase tertampar dan ditampar.

today in history. yeah, i've something to be highlighted today. earlier this day, me and baz went to MG road, *MG road is Mahatma Gandhi Road* because we need to go to HSBC bank, with the intention to sign up for new saving account *finally kitorg mendpt hidayah utk save duit*. but unfortunately, foreign students are not allowed to do so!what the heck!gosh, sooo irritating okkk! fine btw, that's not the story i really wanna share here. so abaikan.

here goes the story. annoyed with HSBC, we went pusing2 kat MG road and masuk dis one shop owned by indian muslim. sambil tgk2 barang2 kat kedai ni, mcm2 la the owner tanye.

"so where are you from?", tanye owner tersebut.

"we're from malaysia"

"oh malaysia!"

"what are u doing here?"

"we're studying here"

"ohh, so what's ur name?"

"i'm bazilah", kate baz dengan yakin sekali.

"zahirah", saye juge tak kurang yakinnye.

"ohhh! are u muslim??"

"yes yes we are!"

"ohh, then why are u wearing like this? you're supposed to cover up ur head etc etc. back in kashmir, muslim girls are wearing etc etc etc", sambil meneliti pakaian kami.

maka kami hanya mampu tersenyum.

"sooo, u're away from ur hometown, it looks like u're having fun wearing like this ehh?", sambung owner berkenaan.

"no no. we also wear like this back in malaysia", begitulah kata2 baz.

"do you pray everyday?home many times a day do u pray?",owner berkenaan mahu pula menguji knowledge kami.

"5 times a day!of course we pray!", turn saye pulak utk berkate2.

"no no i don't think so. where did u pray?wearing like this?", okay. that's very cynical.

"we prayed already. at home!", saye jawab lagi.

"don't lie! it's very bad okay!",kata owner itu dgn muke serious.

"nope we don't!okay, seee u again!", maka kami pon cpt2 keluar dari kedai itu.

adus. gile rase tertampar siotttt! after a few steps, kitorg gelak2 cam org gile. bukan nk make fun of the owner. tp gelak kat diri sendiri sbb rase cam malu gile kot? adus. ok la, the owner was right. muslim girls should wear this and that. maka, saye pon mule tertanye (actually i ask this question to myself every single day) bile la aku nk pakai tudung nie? adus. niat mmg dh ade. tunggu nak buat jer. tatau la asal susah sgt. setan byk sgt kot?

to the shop owner, thanks for the reminder. wpon ayat kau bole tahan kasar, tapi mmg btul pon, takkan aku nk marah kot? kepade diri sendiri, kau pikir la sendiri.

dush dush!

sekian terima kasih

a daughter will always, always be a daughter.

when i was little, i always wanna grow up a little bit faster, so that i'll get all the freedom in the world, a freedom that a kid won't have. for a few couple of times, i thought that running away from home is the only solution for me to get my freedom, free from the constant nagger of my life, my mom and free from my dad, who worries too much about me. but then i came to think, where do i get money if i runaway from home??jual bontot??(as suggested by farah n nad *haha*) that question kills my attempt to head for the hills. here's a video about some girls who were looking for freedom. a proof that every kid in this world is looking for freedom.

in this video : nad, aenn, muz, farah, julie n me. the most hideous voice award goes to nad *kite dah bole drive kite dh bole drive!!*

now that i've reached the age that i thought i was supposed to be free, some things remain unchanged. being 21, i always thought i will get to use the car anytime that i wish to. but nope, i can only use the car if and only if no one's using it. and even if there's no one to use the car, my parents, especially my mom will bombard me with 1001 questions about why do i need to use the car, why cant i use public transport, where do i go, etc etc. ergh, sick. enough with the questions?no that's not all. and if i am permitted to use the car, there are some more, she won't let me drive on the highway alone at nite. there goes her reasons ; someone might crash my car purposely, i might get robbed, kidnapped, raped etc etc. recently, i wanted to use the car to go to seremban and planned to make my way to shah alam right after berbuka so that i can berbuka at my boyfriend's house, but no, "u can use the car n be back before berbuka or u can just go by train" what laaaaaaa! go by train?*malas* with some kuih raya that i have to bring back with me, travelling by train will make me look like makcik jual kuih raya. i dun wanna drag things any worse, so fine, fine, fine, (though it's not fine at all) i'll be back before berbuka. *ggrrrr!!!!*

sometimes i really, really need to use the car, and my mom will insist me to have some friends to accompany me especially if i'm driving at nite, for some great distance. where do i find ppl to ride with me just to accompany me? forgive me but i consider this as white lie. :) hahaha will tell her after some time. but i did tell my dad that the real fact was there were no one accompanying me, but my dad is super cool, he's fine with it.

it's a must for me to hang out with my friends, and go for a date with my boyfriend. but of course, i do lepak at the house and help my mom with the house chores. it's not like i go out everyday, but everytime that i go out, they will make me feel as though i dun spend my time at home at all. :( everytime i tell my mom/dad about me going out with friends, they'll say "keluar je la keje intan" (p/s : intan is my nickname at home) and the real fact is, i've been staying at home like anak dara bertauliah for like 2-3 days maybe? and still they say that to me. haih. so being 21 doesn't necessarily means that u'll get all the freedom in the world. i still feel like a little kid because my parents still think that i'm their LITTLE one. it's kinda funny. looking back, as a kid, i can't wait to be an adult. now that i'm truly an adult, my parents still make me feel like a kid.

i know they care too much about me. and that's why they're treating me like their little one. it's okay. i understand. but, it's pretty depressing at times. but well, i very much realize that they dun have fun doing this to me, but they just want the best for me. and of course, i do get the freedom that i've been looking for since i was a kid, though it is limited to some extent. hahaha. that makes up the biggest difference between a daughter and a son. a son may go out of control after reaching some age, but a daughter can never really go out of her parents' control. though she doesn't allow me to drive alone at night, and though his words about me not spending enough time at home irritates me a lot, i still love em both. but mummy, please let me use the car more often!!!p/s : my mum is org paling kedekut kereta dlm dunia ni, pdhal kete abah.danggggggggggg * ggrrrrrr!!!!*

another video to share

the video tells it all. love u girls! mwahhh~!
